Volkswagen has been going through a lot lately since the German carmaker confessed to cheating U.S. vehicles emissions tests, adding that 11 million of its cars could be affected worldwide.

Unfortunately, things are about to get worse.

Audi has just revealed that 2.1 million cars have been affected.

Models with the "defeat device" software include the A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, TT, Q3 and Q5.

There has been no word from the German carmaker on when they plan to fix the vehicles in order to comply with Environmental Protection Agency standards.

Volkswagen is currently facing fines of up to $18 billion dollars in the U.S. alone.
