Chinese woman risked her life and limb by climbing out the window of a bus after missing her bus-stop.

The incident, which took place in Henan Province, China, was caught on CCTV.

Local media reported that the woman missed her stop because she was concentrating on her smartphone.

However, in the clip she approaches the closed window and quickly slides it open with her hand.

She then lifts one of her legs into the air and dangled it out the window as a number of cars and motorcycles speed past.

The woman then sits down on the ledge, as the bus, which could begin accelerating again at any moment, waits at a crossroads.

After regaining her composure, she jumps down to the ground and walks up the road as if nothing ever happened.

Chinese media also reported that she was lucky not to have hurt herself in her bizarre and rather reckless escape.
