AC Milan were crowned champions of Italy on Sunday, May, 22, 2022. The Rossoneri only needed a draw away against Sassuolo on the final day to seal the title.
Stefano Pioli's men would however go for the win to seal their first Scudetto since 2011.
AC Milan started well and went ahead in the 17th minute when Olivier Giroud converted a ball through to him by Rafael Leao.
Giroud and Leao would combine again to put Milan two goals up in the 32nd minute. Leao again turned provider for Frank Kessie to score the third for Milan in the 36th minute.

All three goals came in the first half as Milan held on to the lead and sealed their 19th Serie A title.
Reactions as Leao shine for Milan
The star of the game for AC Milan was Portuguese youngster Rafael Leao. The 22-year-old provided all three goals for Milan in their most important game of the season.
Milan fans took to social media platform Twitter to praise the young forward for his contributions.
Another name that rose to the top of the trends was veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The legendary Sweden striker was part of the AC Milan team that won the 2011 Scudetto and 11 years later a champion with the same team.
Ibrahimovic has played for several clubs in his career but expressed loyalty to Milan. The Milan fans were grateful to the striker for his contribution as they were crowned champions once again.

After the game, Theo Hernandez to Sky: “We have always believed in it [the scudetto] then there were people talking that Inter were the favourites. I want to see what they are saying now. We are the champions.
"What’s important is that we won the league now. Now we have a month off then we return to give our all again.”
Pioli told DAZN: “I don't remember when we lost last time. We deserved this Scudetto because we have been the most consistent and we won difficult matches, overturning a derby and winning twice in Rome thanks to a strong team.“
"My directors have given me an exceptional confidence. If you arrive at this point it’s because every element have given their best.”
