Juventus suffered a 0-2 defeat away against Fiorentina in their final Serie A fixture played on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Juventus came into the game with the knowledge that veteran defender and captain Giorgio Chiellini would be making his final appearance for the club.
The first half was tense with little created until Ghanaian youngster Alfred Duncan converted a ball through to him by Giacomo Bonaventura in the 45th minute to give Juventus a goal lead at the halftime break.
The second half was more of the same as Juventus playing in their 2022/23 home jersey went searching for an equalizer.

Juventus could not tie the game and in additional time of the second half, Argentine youngster Nicolas Gonzalez converted a penalty to give Fiorentina a comfortable victory.
Reactions to Chiellini's final game for Juventus
Chiellini announced before the game that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Juventus now go into rebuild mode as Argentine forward Paulo Dybala also stated that he is leaving the club.
Chiellini had a cut on huis face to finish the game for Juventus and was praised by for his time at the club.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri said, “We have concluded the year with dignity, let's think about next season now.
“Tomorrow, I’ll rest and Monday, we’ll think about next season.”
“To return to winning ways, we need to do more, score more goals. Let's not throw away the good things we did this year.
“Slowly I think the team will grow as well as the players. You have to make a mix, with only young players it's difficult to win. We missed Chiesa a lot this year. The club has made a lot of investments.”
