Ajax Amsterdam manager Alfred Schreuder has given an update on Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey.
Bassey picked up an injury during the Eredivisie clash between the Champions and Heerenveen at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
The 22-year-old started his fourth game of the season in the league for Ajax but was unable to finish the game after he walked off with a knock with six minutes left to play.
Bassey impressed yet again for the Dutch giant, who thrashed their visitors Heerenveen 5-0 to register an outstanding five wins in a row.

The Nigerian defender put in an impressive showing again to help Ajax register a fifth consecutive clean sheet.
He completed 98% of his passes, won 100% of his tackles, two (2) headed clearances, one interception and five (5) recoveries.
Ajax coach gives latest on Bassey
The coach of the Dutch club, Schreuder, has given an update on the injury suffered by Bassey.
Ajax finished the game with 10 men as Schreuder had used all his substitutions before Bassey walked on injured in the 84th minute.
Ahead of the big clash against Liverpool in the Champions League in midweek, the 49-year-old Dutchman has given a positive update on Bassey's injury.
"We end the game with ten men, that's a shame," the Ajax boss told ESPN. "It's not too bad, Bassey just got a kick on his calf."
