Super Eagles Head Coach Salisu Yusuf has named his final 18-man Super Eagles squad ahead of the upcoming international friendly against the Costa Rican senior national team.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are billed to take on the Costa Rican first team in an international friendly ahead of the Central American side's participation in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Salisu's side is made up of home-based players to make up for the non-availability of the foreign-based Super Eagles players due to the friendly being scheduled when most European leagues are still in action.

Bankole, Nwosu, Garba named in Super Eagles squad for Costa Rica friendly

According to an official press statement released on the NFF website, the 18-man squad was announced on Friday, November 4 after a one-week training at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

The 18-man squad is made up of two goalkeepers; Kayode Bankole & Nathaniel Nwosu, while midfielder Afeez Nosiru and forward Suleiman Garba were also named by Head Coach Yusuf.

The Super Eagles squad are scheduled to depart for Costa Rica on Saturday, November 5.

The friendly against the Costa Rican national team will be played at the San Jose National Stadium on Thursday, November 10 by 3 a.m. Nigerian time.
