Former Juventus midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has suggested that the Italian club should enter the race to sign €100m-rated Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

Sissoko believes that Osimhen would be the perfect replacement for the departing Argentine forward Paulo Dybala at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Osimhen is the subject of interest this summer transfer window with English Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Manchester United all said to have the Napoli striker on their shortlist of potential targets for the summer.

The former Malian international believes that Osimhen would complement 22-year-old Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as Dybala's replacement with Spanish striker Alvaro Morata also rumoured to be contemplating leaving Juventus.

On who Juventus should sign to partner Vlahovic, Sissoko said: "Victor Osimhen without a doubt. He is the right player for Juve, there are other young and strong players but Osimhen is devastating. I hope that Juve will have a strong player and that he will be a champion."

Sissoko wants Vlahovic to lead Juventus

Although the 37-year-old former Juventus defensive midfielder believes that Vlahovic should remain the centre of the project at Juventus with Osimhen only a part of the project.

"He is a quality player, he is young and Juve must focus the project on him. Playing for Juve is not the same as playing for Fiorentina," Sissoko stated.

"However, I am convinced that next year he (Vlahovic) will be the absolute protagonist and will score an avalanche of goals."

Osimhen is coming off a productive season at Napoli, having scored 18 goals and six (6) assists in 32 appearances to help the Naples-based side finish 3rd in the Serie A, one spot ahead of Juventus.

For his exploits, the former Lille striker was awarded the Best U23 player in the Italian Serie A for the 2021/22 season.

On the other hand, Vlahovic completed a mid-season move to Juventus from Fiorentina for €81m. The Serbian forward scored nine (9) goals and made two (2) assists for Juventus in 21 matches
