Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo was back on the goal sheet as Al-Hilal were crowned champions in Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, June 27, 2022 Ighalo was in action as Al-Hilal defeated Al-Faisaly in their final league game of the season.
The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring as early as the seventh minute when he converted a ball through to him from Michael Richard Delgado de Oliveira.
In the 64th minute of the second half, Ighalo scored his second of the game from another ball by Richard Delgado de Oliveira.
Khalid Al Kabi pulled one back for Al-Faisaly from a ball by Clayson in the 70th minute but Al-Hilal held on to a 2-1 advantage to record a historic victory against Al-Faisaly.

Ighalo leads Al-Hilal to league title
Ighalo joined Al-Hilal from rivals Al-Shabab after he was unable to represent Nigeria at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Cameroon early this year.
The 33-year-old Ighalo, scored his 23rd and 24th goal of the season on the biggest game of the season for Al-Hilal.
With 24 goals for Al-Shabab and Al-Hilal, Ighalo ended the season as the top scorer in Saudi Arabia.
It was Al-Hilal's 18 Saudi Arabian league triumph and the 65th title in the history of the club.
