Nigerian internationals Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey have been nominated for the Rangers Player of the Year Award for the 2021/22 top-flight season.
The Super Eagles duo have been shortlisted alongside seven other teammates for the Award for the best player of the season for the incumbent Scottish champions.
As published on the club's official website, Aribo and Bassey were shortlisted alongside club captain James Tavernier; strikers Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe; midfielders Ryan Kent, John Lundstram, and Glen Kanara; and centre-back Connor Goldson.
Both Super Eagles stars have been crucial to Rangers' Scottish Premiership title defence and their ongoing run to the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League this season.
Aribo the midfield marshal for Rangers
Aribo bagged two (2) assists in Thursday's 3-1 second-leg victory over Braga that took Rangers to the last four of the Europa League with a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Aribo's assists against Braga helped the 25-year-old hit double figures in assists this season with his tally now standing at 10 assists, along with eight (8) goals in all competitions.
The former Charlton Athletic player has featured 49 times for the Gers this season already and his combined 18 goal contributions account for 16% of Rangers' goals this season.
Bassey muscles his way into Rangers back-four
Bassey has proved to be one of the discoveries of the season for Rangers, with the natural left-back slotting in seamlessly to a centre-back role when his compatriot Leon Balogun was injured.
The 22-year-old defender has made a total of 42 appearances for Rangers this season across all competitions, starting 40 times for the Giovanni van Bronckhorst-led side.
Bassey has chipped in five (5) assists for Rangers this season to cement his place as a starter in the side barely two years after joining on a free transfer.
The Rangers Player of the Year Award is in the voting category with fans able to vote till Sunday, April 17.
The winner will be announced and presented at the Players' Awards Ceremony on Sunday, April 24.
