What options are available for Super Eagles after Sadiq, Osimhen's injuries?
Ahead of the match, Finidi has thrown his weight behind Moffi to lead the line for the Super Eagles in place of first-choice striker Victor Osimhen.
As reported by PUNCH Sports Extra, Finidi said: "Moffi has to do what he has to do to make it into the starting team. Osimhen definitely, is the first choice once he’s back. He will take his place in the team but we have other players that are pushing him but Osimhen is always Osimhen."
Awoniyi, Dessers battle Moffi for starting spot
The Enyimba manager acknowledged that there are other players like Awoniyi and Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers who are also competing for the striker role in the team.
"There are other players that have other qualities that can make up for his absence, so we will see how it goes," Finidi explained.
Moffi is currently the third-highest goalscorer in the French Ligue 1 for the 2022/23 season, having scored six (6) goals in eight games for Lorient behind only Paris Saint-Germain duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe who have scored eight (8) and seven (7) goals respectively.
