Connected Development (CODE), a leading civil society organisation focused on empowering marginalised communities, has appointed award-winning video journalist and multimedia producer Kunle Babs as its Chief Consultant for Global Communications and Advocacy.

With nearly 15 years of experience in international media, Babs has worked with prominent global outlets such as Agence France Presse (AFP), France 24, China Global Television Network (CGTN), Channel News Asia (CNA), and Deutsche Welle (DW), where his storytelling on development issues earned widespread recognition.

One of his standout contributions is the DW-produced documentary Fighting Eco-Corruption in Nigeria, which spotlighted CODE’s “Follow The Money” healthcare campaign.

In his new role, Babs will spearhead CODE’s global communication strategies, strengthen media relations, lead advocacy campaigns, and enhance the organisation's presence across Africa and internationally.
