Leicester City forward Ademola Lookman has joined the Super Eagles of Nigeria camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup double header against the Black Stars of Ghana.

Lookman is one of the late arrivals to camp announced by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

The arrival of the 24-year-old was made known through a statement on the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles.

The arrival of Lookman is big news as the forward was recently cleared to switch his international allegiance to Nigeria by FIFA.

In the post, Lookman in a NFF shirt, hypes up his arrival to the team by speaking Yoruba.

He said, "Hi guys its Ademola Lookman here, just arrived in camp. Happy to be here, Naija mo ti de."

The message along with the video stated that the Super Eagles players in camp are now up to 23.

"Update! Ademola Lookman don land…23 players in camp…Ekong, Balogun, Ajayi, Aina, Onyeka, Ighalo, Akpeyi, Musa, Etebo, Iheanacho, Abdullahi, Uzoho, Simon, Dennis, Aribo, Bassey, Bonke, Omeruo, Sanusi, Chukwueze, Osimhen, Amoo, Lookman."

Lookman was not the only late arrival as F.C. Copenhagen midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo also joined late last night.

The Super Eagles held their first training session on Tuesday, March 22 and will continue preparations for the all-important clash against the Black Stars of Ghana.
