Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Leon Balogun received praise for his role in the Europa League final between Scottish side Rangers and Bundesliga giants Eintracht Frankfurt.
Balogun was an unused substitute as Frankfurt defeated Rangers on penalties to win the 2022 Europa League title.
Even though Balogun could not play a part on the pitch he had a an impact with the Rangers fans.
According to several sources, the Rangers fans were unable to access water in the final played at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Fans praise Balogun for Water
Balogun did not find the back of the net like his compatriot Joe Aribo he received praise from the Rangers fans.
The Rangers fans could not get water and it was up Balogun to provide for the fans from the bottles set aside for the team.
A fan stated on Twitter that Balogun is responsible for saving his life at the temperature in the stadium was up to 35℃.
He wrote, "Thanks to @LeonBalogun for bringing us fans water last night when it wasn’t your duty.
"Wouldn’t have survived the game if it wasn’t for you. @EuropaLeague have a look at yourselves."
Another wrote, "Well done @LeonBalogun but it defies belief that Rangers fans had to resort to begging players for water last night.
"Utterly horrifying and a huge stain on the shambles that is UEFA."
