'We are devastated' - NFF react to the death of former Super Eagles midfielder Justice Christopher

On Wednesday, March 9, a former midfielder, Justice Christopher was confirmed dead.

According to several sources, Justice was reported to have slumped at his hotel complex.

After the incident, Justice was rushed to the hospital in Jos where he was confirmed dead.

The Amaju Pinnick-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have issued a statement following the death of Justice.

The statement issued by the NFF referenced the career of Justice and his family.

The statement said, "We are devastated to hear of the sudden passing away of former @NGSuperEagles midfielder Justice Christopher early on Wednesday morning. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and football community in Nigeria. May his soul Rest In Peace."

Justice played as a midfielder for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) sides Katsina United, Sharks, and Bendel Insurance before moving to Europe.

Justice featured for the Super Eagles on 11 occasions and was a key member of the team that went to the 2002 FIFA World Cup hosted by Korea/Japan.
