Golden Eaglets vs Burkina Faso
After their victory against the Junior Elephants, the Golden Eaglets had to await the winner of the other semifinal.
The other semifinal featured tournament host the Black Starlets of Ghana against Burkina Faso.
The Black Starlets of Ghana lost 4-2 to the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria in the opening game of the tournament.
Victory against Burkina Faso would set up a rematch between Nigeria and Ghana in the final.
A chance for revenge would not happen as Ousmane Camara scored for Burkina Faso from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute.
That was the only goal of the game as Burkina Faso knocked out the Black Starlets of Ghana.
The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria now face Burkina Faso in the final of the WAFU tournament and both teams will represent the region at the 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Algeria next year with the opportunity to secure a ticket to the 2023 U-17 FIFA World Cup.
