Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers has bade farewell to the players and staff at Feyenoord following the Dutch side's decision to not retain the striker on a permanent deal.
Feyenoord announced on Wednesday afternoon that they would be letting go of the Nigerian international as his loan period had come to an end.
The Eredivisie side chose to pass on the €4m option-to-buy clause that would have seen Dessers leave parent club KRC Genk of Belgium permanently.

With his departure from the De Kuip confirmed, Dessers looked back at his time with the Dutch side with so much satisfaction and fulfilment after leading the club to its first European final in decades.

According to a press statement from the club's official website, the Super Eagles striker described moving to Feyenoord as one of the best decisions he has made.
Dessers said: "I had a fantastic time at Feyenoord. Last year I chose this club just before the market closed and that decision has been one of the best of my career.
I cherish Jersey Number 33 at Feyenoord - Dessers
The departing Feyenoord striker further stressed that he loved interacting with the fans whilst stating that he would cherish the jersey number 33 he wore while on loan at the club.
"The whole season was one big adventure, with the success in Europe and the wonderful interaction with the public proudly standing out," Dessers said.
"I will cherish jersey number 33 and Feyenoord for the rest of my life."
Onuachu, Dessers battle at KRC Genk
Dessers is set to return to parent club KRC Genk where he faces uncertainty over his future especially if Nigerian hotshot Paul Onuachu also remains at Genk.
Dessers hit a total of 21 goals and six (6) assists in 47 matches across all competitions for both Genk (4 matches) and Feyenoord this season.
The 27-year-old also scored his first international goal for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their 2-1 friendly defeat to Mexico at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on Sunday May 29.
