KRC Genk manager Wouter Vrancken has stated his plans for Super Eagles star Cyriel Dessers ahead of the striker's return to the club for the 2022/23 season.
The Belgian tactician confirmed that he is looking forward to working with the Nigerian international especially following his successful loan stint at Feyenoord.
Dessers will return to his parent club Genk after Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord confirmed they would not be signing the 27-year-old striker on a permanent deal following the expiration of his one-year loan deal.

As reported by Feyenoordpings, Genk manager Vrancken expressed his joy at having Dessers back with the Belgian club during a press conference with the club.

The Genk coach stated that he was already exploring ways to fit the Super Eagles striker into his plans for the forthcoming season.
Vrancken said: "Dessers? I'd be mad if I wasn't happy with his return. Rest assured I'm happy. I'm looking forward to working with him and looking forward to seeing how I can fit him into my ideas.
The 43-year-old manager admitted that he has not made contact with Dessers since the Nigerian international is away on vacation and he does not want to disturb his time off.
"He is on vacation. It is not my habit to harass players," Vrancken explained.
Vrancken to consider Dessers-Onuachu strike duo
On an expected partnership or rivalry with fellow Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, Vrancken stated that he has not taken any decisions on that yet and he will wait to talk to Dessers first.
"Onuachu or Dessers? That's in the future. I will definitely talk to Cyriel and explain to him what I expect. Then we'll see what he thinks," Vrancken clarified.
Onuachu was Genk's topscorer last season, bagging 23 goals and three (3) assists in 43 matches across all competitions.
Away on loan at Feyenoord all season, Dessers also recorded 21 goals and six (6) in 47 matches across all competitions. He was the top scorer in the UEFA Europa Conference League with 10 goals and two (2) in 13 matches.
