Salisu Yusuf's team conceded four goals against Morocco in the CHAN finaljust as they did in the WAFU Cup final defeat to Ghana.
CHAN Final report
The Eagles started the first half to contain the attacking threat of the Moroccans especially striker Ayoub El Kaabi who had scored eight goals before the final.
A lapse in concentration however Zakaria Hadraf's goal gave the hosts the lead just before half time.
After the break the Eagles started well but a second yellow card to Moses Eneji saw the Eagles reduced to ten men.
Goals from Walid El Karti in the 61st minute, Zakaria Hadraf in the 64th minute and Tournament top scorer Ayoub Kaabi in the 73rd minute condemned the Eagles to a heavy defeat.
Eagles defeat due to Injuries?

CaptainIkechukwu Ezenwa in the semifinal win against Sudan, and was replaced by Dele Ajiboye.
Midfielder Ifeanyi Ifeanyi was also ruled out of the final as he picked up a red card in the semifinal against Sudan.

Best ever finish at CHAN
Despite the heavy margin of the defeat, the Eagles have surpassed their previous best outing at the continental competition.
Salisu Yusuf's team claimed a silver medal to better Stephen Keshi's team that won a bronze medal at the 2014 CHAN edition.
