1.    Victor Osimhen is 19-years-old

Born in Lagos, Nigeria on December 29, 1998, Victor James Osimhen is still 19-years-old.

2.   Previous clubs

Victor Osimhen started his youth career with Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria before he moved to Europe.

He did not play in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) moved he moved to Europe.

After in an impressive at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Osihmen who was the top scorer at the competition secured a move abroad to German Bundesliga giants VfL Wolfsburg.

The move to Wolfsburg happened during the winter transfer window of 2017 after a successful trial with the club.

He, however, struggled to live up to the high standards which were expected of him.

After squandering several opportunities to prove himself, Osimhen was loaned out by Wolfsburg to where he has turned into a goal machine.

3. Osimhen and Nigeria

Victor Osimhen was born in Nigeria and grew up in the academy systems before a breakthrough.

He represented Nigeria at the 2015 FIFA World Cup held in Chile playing a crucial role for the national under 17 team Golden Eaglets who emerged victorious.

Victor Osimhen was top scorer in the competition and had help from Villarreal.

He and his teammates at U-17 level could however not replicate their achievements at the U-20 level as the team led by playmaker failed to qualify for the FIFA U-20 FIFA World Cup.

The youngster went on to make his first appearance for the senior national team in an international friendly against Togo.

He was given his second cap by Rohr as the Super Eagles crashed at home to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the first game of the 2019 AFCON qualification rounds.

4. Style of play

Victor Oshimen is a central striker who thrives went occupying advancing positions in the opponents half or penalty box.

He has always stated that his hero is Didier Drogba and over the course of his career he has fashioned out a way to impose himself on opposing defenders.

Osihmen can play as a lone striker and can also fit in with a roaming forward who can take away the attention of defenders away from him when the ball is delivered into the box.
