The City Boy Movement in Ogun state, a youth group campaigning for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has described the candidate as the best among the 2023 presidential candidates.

Seyi Tinubu, the son of the presidential candidate joined the youths at their final townhall meeting on Sunday, February 19, 2023, in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.

Speaking at the event, which held at Cultural Centre, Kuto, Tinubu urged the youths to troop out on election day to vote for the APC candidate and make sure their votes are protected.

While urging them to be peaceful in their conducts, he advised them to encourage their household and relatives to vote for Tinubu, saying he’s the best candidate on the ballot.

On the campaign activities of the group, the group’s spokesperson Dr Lateef Sulaimon said the City Boy Movement in Ogun State is a group of youths who believe in Tinubu’s political philosophy and achievements.

He said the group has organised several townhall meetings and market visitations to propagate Tinubu presidential ambition and his track records as former governor of Lagos state.

“We are saddled with responsibility of grassroots engagement and voters orientation. We’ve been to the three senatorial districts engaging people in town hall meetings, market visitation telling them about their achievements of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his manifesto, and how to vote on Election Day. That is what we have been doing,” Sulaimon said.

“And this is the City Boy Movement is a group of apolitical support group for Asiwaju and we have been doing a self-funding. funding ourselves donating by ourselves to promote the cause of what we are doing in ogun state and

we are youth, energetic and vibrant with the interest of the renewed hope for Nigeria because we look at all the candidates and we see that the best among them is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“That is what convinced us to be doing all this, telling them about his achievements and track records. So Sunday, February 19 2023 was our

grand finale and it was held at June 12 Cultural Center, Abeokuta, where our ground Patron in the person of Mr Seyi Tinubu was in attendance”.

He said the group used the event to engage more people on voters education.

Ahead of the Saturday election, Sulaimon said the group has set up a team of canvassers across all the 20 local government areas in the state.

He added that the event was attended by other support groups who are campaigning for Tinubu’s presidency in Ogun state.
