A 35-year-old wanted on an arrest warrant was successfully detained in the centre of Gliwice in Poland.

The action, carried out by police officers from Gliwice and Strzelce Opolskie, was a complete success. A man suspected of pimping and drug crimes was arrested while walking his dog in the evening.

The man prosecuted by the District Court in Katowice was the object of criminal interest from the District Police Headquarters in Strzelce Opolskie.

Cooperation with colleagues from Gliwice resulted in the quick and discreet arrest of the suspect, which did not arouse suspicion among the residents.

The police used the tactic of observation and discreet arrest during a routine dog walk. The choice of this method turned out to be optimal because no one, including the dog, realised that a police action had taken place. The detainee's four-legged companion made no sound.

After the detention, the dog was taken care of by designated officers. The animal was placed in the care of a person indicated by the owner. The detained man was taken to custody, where he is awaiting a criminal trial and sentence.

The text was based on the police announcement of April 2, 2024.
