Boko Haram terrorists have killed 5 people in a community in Southern Niger, reports say.
"Boko Haram attacked overnight on 23 June the village of Yebi, near Bosso. The terrorists came on horseback and motorbikes and killed at least five villagers,” a source told Reuters.
Another source confirmed the attack saying that the terrorists had later set fire to the village.
This comes barely a week after Boko Haram members killed 38 people near Niger’s border with Nigeria, where the group operates from.
Niger has suffered attacks from the group due to its expansive border with Nigeria and its participation in a joint multinational force against the sect.
