Instagram has decided that it has had enough of its old-school icon in favour of something more modern - much more modern.
The company announced today that it will be introducing a colorful new icon for its main app, along with matching icons for apps like Layout and Hyperlapse.
The photo-sharing site's app will also be undergoing a redesign. It will be adopting the simplified black-and-white look that was shown by The Verge las week.

The new look is meant to put more focus on photos and videos, although it doesn’t really look that different.
It actually looks very stripped - so that the only part that pops with color are your photos and video - which is kind of the point depending on how you look at it.
The update is already available on iOS according to The Verge, with the Android version seemingly available today as well.
