In her latest YouTube video , embedded below, dermatologist and TLC star Dr. Sandra Lee treats a patient with a huge lipoma in their shoulder.
"When youve got a chip on your shoulder... #pop that sucker out!" she wrote in an Instagram post directing people to the full YouTube.
And "pop that sucker out" she does, although it isn't as seamless as some of Lee's other extractions-like these blackheads that explode with just a tiny bit of pressure . Halfway through pulling out the lipoma, Lee uses scissors to snip off the portion she's managed to extract; then she goes back in to squeeze out the rest of the orangey mass. And reader, don't stop watching when she starts to stitch up the incision. You simply must stick around for the end of the video, when a pair of gloved hands displays the lipoma in its full, squishy glory. It's huge!
What is a lipoma again?
A lipoma is a fatty, non-cancerous mass that grows between the skin and muscle, according to the Mayo Clinic . Treatment isn't necessary, as they're benign-but if a lipoma is causing you discomfort, you might want to have it removed. (Whether or not you film it for YouTube viewers is entirely up to you, of course.)
The last time we saw Lee deal with a lipoma , she was fighting past a layer of blood vessel "bodyguards" to get the mass out of a patient's back. That one seemed to be a little bit smaller-perhaps she was building her viewers up for this shoulder video:
