During a visit to Sperling Dermatology in Montclair, New Jersey on Friday, Sorrentino had syringes of his own blood smeared across his face, in what he called his "favorite Vampire Facial."
The vampire facial first gained notoriety back in 2017 when Kim Kardashian shared a bloody-faced selfie on social media. It begins with a venipuncture to draw blood, which is relatively painless unless you have a thing about needles. Then you have a microdermabrasion; a cosmetic procedure which uses tiny crystals to remove dead skin cells and smoothen the skin.
This is followed by the application of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the blood; the platelets reportedly stimulate cell regeneration when applied to the skin. It takes a few days to recover, and people who've had the procedure will have red, tender skin in the immediate aftermath, so exposure to the sun is not advised.
In addition to treating himself to some sanguine skincare, Sitch has been making good use of his time following his release from prison , volunteering at an addict recovery facility with his wife, Lauren Pesce. He was assigned 500 hours of community service to complete on top of his prison sentence after pleading guilty to tax evasion.
