Mangoes are now in season. mangoes may very well be the king of all fruits. They fight cancer, alkalize the body, aid in weight loss, regulate diabetes, help digestion, clean your skin, they make the perfect snack and drinks.

Also, there are so many healthy benefits of mango. Instead of snacking on unhealthy chips and cookies, why not feast on slices of mangoes instead. They are perhaps one of the tastiest dehydrated fruits of all. Also mangoes can act as a stomach tonic. Before going to bed put some 10 or 15 mango leaves in warm water and close it with lid. The next day morning filter the water and drink it in empty stomach. Do this regularly.

In this recipe however, Mango is mixed with orange and a touch of ground red pepper to give this beverage a vitalizing jolt of heat.

Ingredients

2 cups cubed peeled ripe mango, frozen

1 cup of fresh orange juice

½ cup of water chilled

1 teaspoon of grated lime rind

2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice

1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

Preparation

Place all ingredients in a blender, and process until smooth.
