Nigerian drinks are majorly prepared the local way, and even though theyre yet to get branded, we totally love and enjoy taking them that way.
These drinks have got this refreshing and natural taste which is totally sweet to the taste bud but then they're prone to fermentation over time largely because they are made of natural ingredients with few or no addition of preservatives or any other additives.
Here's a list of 5 Nigerian drinks we can't just get over.

1. Palm wine
Palm-wine is simply gotten from palm trees. The sap of the palm tree is drained and either left to ferment or consumed immediately after tapping. For those who love a little bit of alcohol content, they'd rather leave it to ferment because when it does, its alcohol level rises to as much as 12%.
This drink is largely consumed by the eastern and south-western parts of Nigeria due to the availability of enough palm trees in these regions.
2. Zobo
Zobo is made from dried Roselle plant flowers, called the zobo leaves. The drink, burgundy wine colour, can be taken either sweetened or unsweetened and doesn't require any preservative. You can totally switch things up by adding pineapple or any other fruit of your choice just to add a little flavour to it. It's best taken when served chilled, it leaves you refreshed.
3. Burukutu
This locally brewed spirit is made from wheat, sorghum or millet and consumed largely by people from the middle-belt of Nigeria.
4. Fura Da Nono
This freshly prepared cow milk with ground millet is commonly prepared in the Northern part of the country but fast becoming one of the favourite drinks of the Wouth-west of Nigeria. A glass of Fura da nono is enjoyed better when iced.
5. Kunnu
Made from tiger nuts, kunnu aya is a creamy and healthy drink largely consumed by the Northerners and those in the middle-belt.
