While fresh tomatoes arent bad for ketchup, tomato pastes make a good option when fresh tomatoes are out of season besides, a seedless ketchup is what youll get.
Making ketchup with tomato paste kinda makes it feel you purchased it from the mall unlike using fresh tomatoes.
Ingredients
1. 2 cans tomato paste
1/4 cup white vinegar
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
A pinch of ginger powder
2 cups water
Preparation
1. Put all the ingredients in a pot, stir and simmer on low heat for about an hour or until the paste thickens to the consistency of ketchup.
2. Once it is cooked, pour in a jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator.
There you go! Your homemade ketchup is ready.
