While fresh tomatoes arent bad for ketchup, tomato pastes make a good option when fresh tomatoes are out of season besides, a seedless ketchup is what youll get.

Making ketchup with tomato paste kinda makes it feel you purchased it from the mall unlike using fresh tomatoes.

Ingredients

1. 2 cans tomato paste

1/4 cup white vinegar

4 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

A pinch of ginger powder

2 cups water

Preparation

1. Put all the ingredients in a pot, stir and simmer on low heat for about an hour or until the paste thickens to the consistency of ketchup.

2. Once it is cooked, pour in a jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator.

There you go! Your homemade ketchup is ready.
