Each season, Chanel’s Haute Couture show closes with a supermodel in a wedding gown. This coveted position has been held by top models Claudia Schiffer, Kendall Jenner and Lily-Rose Depp among a host of other top models.

Alek Wek was the first African model to hit the runway as a bride for Chanel in 2004.

This is a big deal for 19-year-old Adut who also opened Chanel’s Cruise show in May and made her runway debut just last year at Saint Laurent’s Spring show.

For her bridal look, she wore a mint green tweed maxi skirt suit with a matching veiled cap both of which were embellished.
