On December 14, 2023 the second edition of Vertical Rave transitioned seamlessly from AshLuxe's Kalakuta Republic fashion show, taking the party to new heights for all in attendance.

With AshLuxe headlining as event sponsor, fashion and music collided in perfect harmony. Made Kuti's electrifying performance at the fashion show had the crowd amped for the rave about to go down.

Vertical Rave aimed to shine a light on young African talent, and over 5,000 party people rocked out to multiple music genres in celebration. The festival not only turned the party up, but gave emerging artists a chance to connect with new fans.

One innovative element was bleacher seating - an unorthodox but welcomed addition providing maximum comfort rarely seen at Nigerian shows. Festival-goers could fully vibe out to the music in style.

In a surprise twist, Blackbonez and Jeriq - booked to perform separately - treated the crowd to an impromptu collaboration on their hit. The unplanned performance took the unpredictable Vertical Rave experience to new heights.

Beyond music, Vertical Rave supported small businesses by offering free vendor booths to amplify brands across event platforms. This brought the community together and fostered collaboration, with Quacktails, NBDA and Vintage9ja enjoying the perks.

After a smashing debut in 2022, Vertical Rave 2023 exceeded expectations as one of Lagos' dirtiest December events. We can't wait to see what outrageous shenanigans 2024 has in store!
