One significant advantage of weight loss home remedies is that they are always natural treatments and can usually find at home or in the market.

Here are tested and trusted home remedies you should try out in your weight loss journey.

1. Lemon water with honey

This is one of the most common remedies you can make at home.

Squeeze out lemons into a glass of water and add two teaspoons of water; stir well and gulp down every morning.

Lemon helps detoxify the body naturally; combining it with honey helps to reduce excessive fats in bits. The effects are seen in weeks.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar with honey and water

Add two tablespoons of ACV to a glass of water and a tablespoon of honey, mix well and down first thing in the morning and the last thing in the night.

ACV contains acetic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and weight loss properties.

3. Cinnamon mixture

Two teaspoons of cinnamon powder, squeeze out the juice of half a lemon, add one teaspoon of honey into a glass of water. Stir properly and drink.

Cinnamon contains metabolic activities that help with obesity and weight loss.

4. Ginger drink

Ginger contains properties that give the stomach ample filling, reducing hunger. Ginger helps to burn excess fat in the body.

In a glass of hot water, add a tablespoon of ginger powder and a teaspoon of honey; mix well and drink. In place of the powder, you can grate the ginger, strain the water and add honey to drink.

5. Intermittent Fasting

Another recommended way to lose weight is going on intermittent fasting. Reducing the number of hours you eat in a day helps you burn calories and decreases your blood pressure level. Intermittent fasting involves alternating between fasting and eating on a structured schedule. So you can draw up a plan and decide to fast on Mondays, eat on Tuesdays, fast again on Wednesdays, and so on. Or you skip breakfast, eat at noon and skip dinner again; all that matters is that it is a structured routine. Incorporate vegetables, salads and fruits, and lots of water into your food prep.

However, it is important to note that starving yourself consistently could cause a lot of harm to the body.

These remedies are not magic potions; they don’t have mystical powers to make you lose weight instantly; controlled portions, change in diet, etc., in conjunction with these remedies, will make them effective.
