Disgraced nanny pleads guilty to child abuse

Jolly Tumuhirwe who was caught with a hidden camera assaulting a toddler has pleaded guilty to the child abuse charges brought against her.

The evil and disgraced nanny who was caught on tape brutally assaulting a toddler in Uganda has pleaded not guilty to child abuse.

In November, Jolly Tumuhiirwe was caught with a hidden camera forcefully feeding a baby before throwing her on the floor. She was seen brutally kicking and hitting the baby in the video which caused great uproar on the internet.

Jolly was charged to court and at a sitting on Monday, December 8 pleaded guilty to the child abuse charge brought up against her.  According to , Jolly Tumuhirwe was in court with her mum who joined her to plead for forgiveness from the toddler’s parents.

BBC reports that the victim’s father, Eric Kamanzi, broke down in court as the proceedings were on-going.

Her sentencing was adjourned to tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10. Jolly faces up to 15 years in prison for the crime or a fine of about $400 (£260) or both.
