Song lyrics books used to be the bomb. Now, it looks like they have made a comeback.
Paint this picture. Your crush sends you a love letter, and the opening lines read,
"If I wrote you a symphony,
Just to show how much you mean to me
What would you do?
I can see us holding hands
Walking on the beach, our toes in the sand
I can see us on the countryside
Sitting on the grass, laying side by side
You could be my baby, let me make you my lady
Girl, you amaze me
Ain't gotta do nothing crazy
See, all I want you to do is be my love"
You finish reading it and you're like "THANK YOU LORD. I HAVE FOUND MY BABY ANGEL!"
You'll just fall inside love straight because the love letter has scattered your head,
Then one day, a few months into the relationship, you find a book inside his bag. It's a song lyrics book. You open it and find a folded page. The name of the song is "My Love by Justin Timberlake ft TI"
The first lines of the lyrics read,"If I wrote you a symphony,
Just to show how much you mean to me..."

But the moment you get a lyrics book that has the song you want, you'll be like,
But it looked like these bestsellers weren't in the market anymore. Why would anybody even buy one when lyrics to the even the fastest rap was just a Google search away. And lyrics books died a natural death.
Or so we thought. Until this Youth Corper shared photos of lyrics book she found in a South-south secondary school she's currently teaching.
To be honest, this has me wondering how many girls they are going to be using the lyrics in this book to catch. Someone is probably going to write a love letter that starts with;
"Ghana girl o,
She wan marry me o
I know say you sabi cook Wache
Oh your love e sweet pass Sheto"
Oh well, I guess it's just a phase. Now, over to you, answer this with the fear of God in your heart;
