Robbers burnt to death in Warri (Graphic Photos)

Two suspected armed robbery suspects were burnt to death by an angry mob in Delta State.

A typical jungle justice

Despite several warnings by the law enforcement agents that people should not take laws into their hands, cases of jungle justice still persist in almost every part of the country, with the recent one happening this afternoon in Warri, Delta State, where two men suspected to be members of an armed robbery gang were burnt to death.

According to eyewitnesses, the men were said to be part of a seven man gang who had embarked on a house to house robbery along the popular Okumagba Avenue in the town. After their operation, the robbers allegedly tried to escape in about tricycles (Keke Napep) but youths in the area went after them.

The gang was said to be caught up in a traffic jam and in a bid to escape, they came down from the Kekes and tried to run away but two of them were nabbed by the crowd who beat them to a pulp before setting them ablaze.
