Slay sails smooth on Hip Hop, Afrobeat waves in "Product Of Surulere"

The Hip Hop act reps finely his hood Surulere, showing quite a promise for growth on this project.

Extended Play - Product Of SurulereArtist - Slay VelliGuests - CheqwasProducers -  Cheqwas, Bly, Eclipse, Synx, SBling, Ritzonbeatz, AsidebeatzRecord Label - Indie (2017)Duration - 24 minutes

Slay Velli brings on the Hip Hop with bouncy beats produced by Bly in ‘Oiiyee’, talking about keeping that grind on, and getting that money right.

'Hot sauce,' a pre-released track has that thumping beat synonymous with the 80’s Hip Hop, he slows down the tempo to a R&B level in ‘Some time’, a song about him expressing feelings for a female.

‘As e dey be’ produced by SBling, he returns to his grind mode in a mid-tempo tone, praying to hit that desired height of success. As e dey be is easily enjoyable due to its cool laid back vibe and its familiar relatable story.

In ‘Thief Thief’ produced by Eclipse, Slay samples Fela’s ‘International thief thief’ on a fly rap track.

A sample of Lagbaja’s ‘Konko below’ is also observed on the track ‘Shugah’ that passes for a party laid back track. Cheqwas produced the song.

‘Good loving’ also produced by Cheqwas has that naughty vibes disguised in a love song.

‘Lewonlere’ sees Slay drop bars repping his hood Surulere as he finishes off on a victory confident chant.

Slay shows a lot of promise and potential to be greater than what he is already. More polish, more drive and constant seeking out of  inspiration via learning and continual honing of his craft will get him very far in the industry.
