Jesse Jagz has released his fourth studio album "

Jesse Jagz who was signed to Chocolate City took a walk away from the label in 2013, rejoined in 2015 and split again in 2016 to focus on his Jagz Nation imprint.

The album is his first body of work since his second exit. It contains guest features from Burna Boy, Styl-Plus, Cynthia Morgan, Melon, R2Bees, and Hot Ice.

Jagz attributed his departure from the Chocolate City  to his dissatisfaction with the way the label was handling his career but has maintained a cordial relationship with his former label mates.

Jagz mentioned to the press during the launch of his Jagz Nation imprint that being an artist under a large label limits his creativity, but that having his own record label gives him more creative freedom and control on his content. "Odysseus," is a product of that freedom.

Ice Prince, fellow Choc City boy also parted with the label to launch his Super Cool Cats imprint.

Jesse Jagz was expected to drop the "Odysseus" project in 2016 but had to postpone it, explaining that he and his team were still working to make the album a top quality one.

Prior to the album release, Jagz released a number of singles in 2017 including 'Midnight vibes', 'Best in you' and 'New world'.
