Afro-fusion pioneer and everyone’s favourite bad boy, Burna Boy has released the visuals for his summer sleeper hit, “Rock Your Body”.
The visuals were directed by seminal Nigerian director, Clarence Peters. They feature his trademark dark lighting and closeted aesthetic, with most of the footage taken with the space of what seems like a warehouse or production studio.
The video calls on the use of colour to depict Burna Boy in his element as the detached, charismatic crooner in an eclectic world that the viewer is introduced to.
Models clad in spandex and heavy, dark makeup keep up the ethos of the visuals as sensual love interests.
“Rock Your Body” is one of a slew of singles and loosies released by Burna Boy this year. That list also includes “Hallelujah” and a refix of Ghanaian act, A.I’s “Grind”, titled "Chillin Chillin".
The Juls-produced track is a mid-tempo hybrid of highlife, dancehall and Afro-fusion melodies.
Burna Boy is presently gearing for the release of his third studio album, “OUTSIDE”.
