BNXN's Apple Music Africa Now Radio Interview: In a conversation with the host Dada Boy Ehiz, BNXN revealed that he was very hands-on with the production process. He also shared that he sort the assistance of several persons to ensure he got the desired result.

On why he chose to call 'Bad Since '97' a project rather than an EP, BNXN says:

"Why I called this thing a project and not just an EP is because I took a lot of time and it involved a lot more hands than normal. Usually, people only get the best of everybody when it’s time to do an album, but this time I wanted to get the best out of an EP because I wasn’t satisfied with the sound - not necessarily the music, but the quality of the sound - from my last project, and I felt it was my obligation to step it up a notch."

BNXN has a unique melody that makes him instantly recognizable. He understands this uniqueness and the need to sound right. Before the release of his new project, he tweeted that his debut EP 'Sorry I'm Late' was marred by poor recording and sound engineering.

I have a sound that if it’s not well engineered and well structured, it might sound a little off to some people so I decided to make sure I perfected that on this project.

BNXN released his sophomore project 'Bad Since 97' on Thursday, August 25th, 2022. The 7-track project features heavyweights Wizkid and Olamide.
