Faraday Okoro's film to premiere at Tribeca Film Festival

"Nigerian Prince" is produced by Biyi Bandele and stars Tina Mba, Bimbo Manuel, Chinaza Uche, Rita Edward.

The movie stars Tina Mba, Bimbo Manuel, Toyin Oshinaike, Shawn Faqua, Gregory Ojefua, Rita Edward, Antonio J. Bell, Chinaza Uche, Kelechi Udegbe among others.

Written and directed by Faraday Okoro, executive produced by Spike Lee and produced by Biyi Bandele and Oscar Hernandez-Topete, "Nigerian Prince" was announced the winner of the $1million AT&T grant at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.

About "Nigerian Prince" by Faraday Okoro

The movie follows two characters; Eze, a stubborn, first-generation Nigerian-American teenager and his cousin, Pius, who is a desperate Nigerian Prince scammer.

After Eze’s mother sends him to Nigeria against his will, Eze retaliates by teaming up with Pius to scam unsuspecting foreigners in order to earn money for a return ticket back to America.

A New York City-based Nigerian-American filmmaker, Faraday Okoro graduated with Distinction from Howard University and has MFA in filmmaking from NYU Film School.

His debut short film "Full-Windsor" screened in 14 major film festivals, including the Los Angeles Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival among others.

The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival is scheduled to hold from April 18 -  April 29.
