The Black Book has become a global hit, topping streaming charts in 12 countries in just three days since its debut.
In a data report by Flix Patrol Premium on Monday, September 25, 2023, the crime thriller leads the viewing rates as one of Netflix's top 10 movies this week.
It isn't just one of Netflix's top 10, but number one in 12 countries and they include the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Kenya, Martinique, Panama, Poland, Romania, Venezuela and our very own Nigeria.
Since its release on Friday, September 22, 2023, the movie has been gathering remarkable news and reviews. According to a post in the early hours of today, by the director Editti Effiong, the movie is currently a global hit as it makes waves in more countries.
His post read, "#TheBlackBookNetflix is #2 in Brazil!!! #2 in Argentina. #2 in France. #3 in US and South Korea. A global hit".
The movie's growth is visibly massive as the news of its waves began yesterday when it was announced as number six in South Korea, which blew everyone's minds and then in less than 24 hours it climbed its way to number 3.
The Black Book tells the thrilling story, of a man whose son is wrongly accused and killed for the crime of kidnapping. The father who is now a deacon after a dark past takes matters into his own hands and fights a crooked police gang to clear his son's name.
The cast include Richard Mofe-Damijo, Olumide Oworu, Sam Dede, Shaffy Bello, Iretiola Doyle, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Ade Laoye, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Patrick Doyle, Bimbo Manuel and Denola Grey.
