Star Nollywood actresses, Liz Benson and Rita Dominic, will feature in a film together for the first time after decades in the industry.
The stars exchanged happy pleasantries when Benson walked on the set of Something About the Briggs, a film by Bukola Ogunsola on wealth, family, and marriage.
Benson, the star of 1990s Nollywood classics like Glamour Girls, Diamond Ring and Karishika, has signed on to play the role of a marriage counsellor in the upcoming film.
Dominic remarked on how it was so interesting they hadn't worked on a film together during their long careers. She also commented on how it was great they'll finally change that with Something About the Briggs.
Benson commented that they were supposed to work together once, but they never got the opportunity to. She expressed excitement that they are finally able to have their onscreen moment.
Written and directed by Ogunsola, Something About the Briggs will also feature many notable actors including Iyabo Ojo, Norbert Young, Gloria Young, Zack Orji, and Tunbosun Aiyedehin.
Other cast members are Daniel Etim-Effiong, Stan Nze, Kenneth Okoli, Kalu Ikeagwu, Linda Ejiofor, Ariyike Owolagba, Elma Mbadiwe, Kanaga Junior, and Simi Drey.
Filming of Something About the Briggs took place for just over three weeks in Abuja in May 2024.
"By far the largest project I have ever worked on with over 20 actors, 90+ crew members and shooting almost 120 Scenes for 23 days," Ogunsola, also the director of Another Father's Day, wrote in an Instagram post.
