Movie lovers have seen him turn from a loving father/husband to a ritualist; he has effortlessly been everything one can think of on screen.
Today, April 18, 2017, is the veteran's birthday and to celebrate him, Pulse Movies is sharing five classics starring the talented Bob Manuel-Udokwu.
1. "Checkmate"
The actor played the character Richard Haastrup in the Nigerian television series which ran in the late 1980s through the early 1990s.
The series also starred Richard Mofe Damijo, Ego Boyo, Kunle Bamtefa, Francis Agu, Nobert Young among others.
2. "Outkast"
The 2001 movie by Chico Ejiro starred the actor alongside Sandra Achums, Lilian Bach, Saidi Balogun, Shan George, Sola Shobowale among others.
A group of female Nigerian prostitutes gets deported from Italy. After their return to Lagos, the women resort to violent crime to try to make money by any means.
3. "Rattle Snake"
The 1995 classic by Amaka Igwe starred Udokwu alongside Nkem Owoh, Francis Duru, Francis Agu, Julius Agwu, Nkem Owoh and Ann Njemanze.
4. "Living in Bondage"
The veteran played the character Mike in the 1992 movie which starred him alongside Kenneth Okonkwo, Nnenna Nwabueze, Francis Agu, Ngozi Nwosu, Kanayo O Kanayo and Rita Nzelu.
"Living in Bondage" which kick-started the popular money ritual plot in Nollywood, told the story of a man who joins a secret cult, kills his wife whom he loved in a ritual sacrifice, becomes wealth, and is afterwards haunted by his late wife's ghost.
5. "When the Sun Sets"
In 1993, Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Kate Henshaw delivered an applaudable performance in the movie "When the Sun Sets."
Directed by Ifeanyi Anyakora, the movie also starred Kanayo O Kanayo, Late Funmi Martins among others.
