Rita Dominic, RMD, Ego Boyo attend premiere of silent film

The event which held at Wings, Ozumba Mbadiwe rd., Victoria Island Lagos, was attended by celebrities such as Richard Mofe Damijo, Ego Boyo, Lamide Akintobi, MO Abudu, Ali Baba, Rita Dominic, Michelle Dede, Joke Silva, Meg Otanwa, Seun Ajayi, Soni Irabor, Betty Irabor, Mary Akpobome, Etim Effiong among others.

One of kind, "A Hotel Called Memory" is produced by veteran Nigerian filmmaker Ego Boyo, and award winning director Akin Omotoso, whose movie "Vaya" is one of the films being submitted for consideration to represent South Africa for the 2018 Oscars.

The film is a tone poem set in Lagos, Cape Town and Zanzibar. It tells the story of Lola, who recently separated from her husband in Lagos, seeks solace in Zanzibar, hoping to forget and move on with her life.

"A Hotel Called Memory" stars Nse Ikpe Etim, Omotoso, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Nomzamo Mbatha, Abdi Hussein and Mmabatho Montsho.

The movie held its world premiere on August 6, 2017, at the 6th annual Blackstar film festival, Philadelphia, where it won the Audience Award.

The film screened for the first time at the 7th edition of Lights Camera Africa Film Festival at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
