August 2, 2016 marked the 19th anniversary of Felas death. His kids, Seun, Yeni and femi Kuti took to social media in remembrance of his passing.

Pop star Wizkid also showed solidarity by sharing a photo of his Fela inspired tattoo.

"Inspiration forever!! #Felaforever!!" he wrote alongside it.

Wizkid is currently in Barbados on the Caribbean Island.
