Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo has become the next celebrity to have received a political appointment, as he is now a Special Adviser to the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed on Arts, Culture and Tourism.
He announced this via his Instagram page where he confirmed the appointment, stating his excitement about being given such an opportunity.
Adebayo is not the first actor to have had the privilege to earn a seat with the governor of a state.
Actors, Richard Mofe Damijo and Kate Henshaw have enjoyed an opportunity to become political officers of Delta and Cross-Rivers States respectively,with RMD enjoying the most senior post as the former Commissioner for Culture & Tourism in Delta State.
For those who wonder about this fast growing actor, Adebayo is the son of veteran Nollywood actor, Adebayo Salami also known as 'Oga Bello'.
He started acting in 1995, the year he featured in Tade Ogidan's movie 'Owo Blow' and has enjoyed success since then having won four awards as Best Yoruba actor at the 17th African Film Awards popularly known as Afro Hollywood awards at the Stratford Town Hall in London.
