Actor and APC's candidate for the Lagos state House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, has supplied transformers for his constituents ahead of the elections.
The politician took to social media to announce the gesture as he installed brand new transformers in his constituency, Surulere, to give electricity to people who have been deprived of it.
The recipients of the transformers delivered by Elliot include James Robertson, Akerele, Martins Street, and Tafawa Balewa.
"I am excited to announce that new high-capacity transformers have been installed in Surulere, bringing reliable electricity to communities that have long needed it. The new transformers include:
Somade Crescent; Methodist Church by Small London; 300Kva
Main Street between Barracks and Tejuosho; 500Kva
Clegg Street, Inside Fire Brigade, 500Kva
James Robertson Junction; 500Kva
Akerele by Havana Hospital; 500Kva
Martins Street; 500Kva
Oke-Ona/Ladele Dada/Alawode Transformer; 500Kva (Surulere 2)
Tafawa Balewa Crescent; 500Kva."
Many have praised the move, and others have chastised him for waiting until election season to make this gesture. According to them, it is just an attempt to secure votes and not an act of genuine goodness.
