Recently, the National Association of Nigerian Students conducted an election to elect a new President who will control the affairs of the organization for the next one year.
At the end of the election, which took place in Abuja, Comrade Danielson Bamidele Akpan was declared the winner of the election after polling a total number of 104 votes out of 272 delegates that participated in the exercise.
Now, Bamidele is the new NANS president and as a Nigerian student, here are five things you should know about the president.
1. He is the 32nd president of the National Association of Nigerian Students.
2. Bamidele graduated from Nassarawa State University Keffi and he has MSc in International Relations & Strategic Studies.

3. Bamidele is the first NANS President to ban student unions from giving awards to individuals, politicians and corporate organizations.
4. On becoming the president, Bamidele promised that Nigerian students under his leadership will not be used again as tools for political vendetta.
5. Comrade Danielson Bamidele is the first student of Nassarawa State University, Keffi to become the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students.
