"If education is expensive, try ignorance," is a quote that is supposed to discourage people from grumbling at the amount a few schools charge to formally educate children. But how much is too much? We can agree that the educational standard in Nigeria is pretty poor, and due to this, various private schools are springing up, promising international-standard education. The only caveat is that it will cost you, and cost you millions.
Here are the schools with some pretty shocking school fees range;
10. Whiteplains British School, Abuja: School Fees: N1.6 million
This boarding school aims to incorporate the British National Curriculum while also introducing the inquiry based approach of teaching and learning as expounded by Edexcel and Cambridge accreditation. It costs about N500,000 per annum and N1.6 million per annum for the primary and secondary schools respectively, to cater for the tuition of a child in secondary. On entering the school premises, one could certainly be able to guess what having a child there would mean. It also boasts for being the school with the most sophisticated I.C.T. Lab in the World, with state of the art gadgets like Virtual Reality Training, Artificial Intelligence, Hologram Monitors, e-Vests for its Trainers and many more.

This school has not been accorded as much attention as it should. But they certainly are worth a second look as being on this list means they offer something special.
