Trying to make someone happy can be very difficult.

This level of difficulty increases when you remember that the person you are trying to please in God, the maker of the Universe.

Thankfully, the Bible has taken the pressure off by telling us exactly what to do and why.

Here are 10 Bible verses on how and why to please God.

1. Psalm 147:10-11; "His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,  nor his delight in the legs of the warrior; the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love."

2. Hebrews 11:6; "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

3. Romans 12:1-2; "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
