Sin is a terrible thing, because it is the one thing that separates us from God.
Whenever we sin, we are left with a feeling of shame, disgrace, and we want to hid from the One that can save us, rather than run to Him.
It is also an avenue for the Devil to attack and make us feel unloved and unwanted.
However, the God, through the Bible, has promised to always forgive and wants us to know that we can always come back to Him, with a contrite heart.

Rid yourself of your past and cleanse your heart with these verses on sin and forgiveness.
1. Ezekial 36:25-26; "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
2. Hebrews 9:13-14; "The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"
3. 1 John 1:7; "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin."
4. 1 John 2:1; "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."
5. Hebrews 10:17; "Then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
6. Ephesians 2:8; "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."
7. 2 Peter 1:5-9; "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins."
God has forgiven all of us, all He demands is that we go forth and sin no more!
